We have 2 fixed term vacancies to cover maternity leave from September 2018 to August 2019 for enthusiastic and motivated teachers to join our dedicated and supportive staff team. We aim to appoint professionals who, like our current teachers, are passionate about special education and have high expectations of themselves and the pupils they teach.

The leadership team and governors are committed to raising pupil attainment and supporting outstanding practice. We continue to be a Good School – Ofsted November 2017 who are “successfully driving further improvements” and “dedicated to our pupils, their families and our staff”. Governor Vacancies

We currently have vacancies for two co-opted governors and a parent governor. In looking to fill these the governors of the school have identified the following skills, experience and attributes that they feel would help strengthen the governing body:

  • time
  • Commitment and interest in our children’s future and improving educational outcomes
  • Inquisitiveness to read paperwork, analyse and question
  • The ability to assimilate information, make judgements and take decisions
  • Good inter-personal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Experience of areas such as education, finance, personnel and business

Co-opted Governors are appointed by the Governing Body, Parent Governors are elected by parents. All potential governors are invited to visit the school and meet with the Headteacher and Governors. They may also be invited to attend a meeting. All potential Governors are required to complete an application form and references will be called for co-opted governors. Any appointed or elected governors will undergo an enhanced DBS check.
